Registration Services

To provide quality business support services that are responsive to our members services include; SHA, Hospital Registration, products, insurance.

To register a hospital in Kenya, several steps and regulatory bodies are involved. The process includes registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), the County Government, and potentially other relevant bodies like the Pharmacy and Poisons Board or the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.

2. Registration with the County Government:
  • Business Permit: Obtain a business permit from the relevant county government. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with county-specific regulations on licensing, marketing, and waste management. 
3. Other Regulatory Bodies:
  • Pharmacy and Poisons Board:
    If the hospital has a pharmacy, it needs to be registered and licensed by the board.
  • Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board:

    If the hospital has a laboratory, it needs to be registered and licensed by this board. 

4. Additional Considerations:
  • Social Health Authority Fund (SHA):

    Consider registering with NHIF to potentially offer services to NHIF members. 

  • Business Registration:

    Ensure the hospital’s business name is registered with the Registrar of Companies. 

  • Clinical Officers:
    If clinical officers are involved, they need to be registered with the Clinical Officers Council
